SUP obviously does not realize that Basic users have given something of value to them, that it is content that drives the site.

So, for one 24-hour period, from midnight GMT to midnight GMT, let's see how many people we can get to pledge to contribute NO CONTENT.

what's in that?

Charlotte and I (mostly Charlotte, I just agreed with her) came up with a TERRIFIC idea for a graduation party: A GIANT FOODFIGHT IN HER BACKYARD. we'd fill waterballoons with various condiments (mustard, ketchup) and throw them at each other, fill water guns with them...
just one problem...we're the only ones who think it's a terrific idea. >_<

like a killer in the sun

it was unbelievably hot and dry yesterday. it was really still too, so there was this nasty film covering the water in Doghome. I used a stick to clear it and swam anyways, lol. kind of the opposite today, it's windy as hell. it's gonna be fun driving up to the marina in my little 16-foot aluminum Naden. >_<
I've almost flipped that thing twice driving in wind like this, and that was just driving to the lodge. it happened pretty recently - came around Hopper Island and hit a huge gust of wind. it tipped the boat up on it's side and pushed the three full gas cans I had in there over to the right side, not to mention me, and I just barely pushed myself and one of the gas cans over enough to get it straight again, lol. I love living here.

but it's more of a North wind today, hopefully it won't be too bad up by Wardrope...the wind coming off the big water is usually the worst there.

I don't think there was much point to this entry. ah, well...my wisdom teeth are coming in.

sitting in the closed in balcony in the hotel in Mackinaw City, looking at the lights on the bridge. it's a nice view, but I like the one from our porch better.
we drove through a forest fire on Highway 6 on our way out this afternoon. the whole road was covered in smoke, we couldn't see five feet in front of us. it was crazy, you could feel the heat inside the car. kind of scary too, I have to admit, I hope they got it out before it did too much damage. that's gonna be something to watch out for this summer if it stays dry.
